Enchanted Youth.
The ravaged face in the mirror hides the enchanting youth that is the real me.
- Mason Cooley
I was at blogskins.com, looking for a nice lay-out to use for this blog when I came across this and its meaningful quote. It made me ponder for a while, whenever I looked at the mirror, do I always like what I see? I'll be the very first one to answer no. Of course, for some, it might be a
yes, or even a
maybe. I would never know for sure since the world is so full of different faces and structures. I wasn't blessed with golden blond hair or long, lean legs or blue eyes. Sometimes I really hated myself for it.
Then I came across the quote above. "...the enchanting youth that is the real me." I may not be the skinniest girl among my friends or the prettiest but really, if I did have the qualities I wanted,
would it change who I am? Would it suddenly make me a better person? Smarter? Happier? Leave me with more friends?
So let me leave you to wonder for yourself. I'm still waiting for my own answer too.
Until the next time,
Nadine.
